The elderly man who warmed the hearts of millions after being filmed waiting for his beloved wife at the airport, a bouquet of fresh flowers in hand, now says that he was thrilled to see her again after being separated for two weeks.
In a video posted on YouTube earlier this week, Bernie Mills, 80, is seen standing in the arrivals hall at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday. According to a new interview with Inside Edition, he had been waiting for an hour for his wife, Carol, 75, to arrive.
When the two finally reunited, Bernie said: 'I was so excited to see her coming through that door. I was like, "Oh boy! I got my baby back again."'

Carol has been on the East Coast for two weeks for a family wedding, marking the first time that she and Bernie had been separated since marrying in 2010.
But had been married before, but each lose their spouses of 50 years. After meeting on eHarmony, the sweet couple decided to take another shot and marriage and tied the knot.
So after being apart for the first time in five years, Carol said seeing each other again was particularly special: 'We were both so happy.'
In the viral video, Bernie stands with a bouquet of pink flowers as he waits for Carol to pull up in the airport's shuttled bus. Spotting his other half approaching, a smile erupts on his face and he opens his arms wide to greet her.
The pair hold each other tight for almost ten seconds before unlocking their arms and kissing each other once more. Bernie then presents Carol with the flowers and a card before sealing the deal with one last kiss.
The 30-second-clip has appeared in a number of places online and has accumulated over 60 million combined views.
In the YouTube description for the clip, the poster said of the scene: 'As I was waiting to get onto the bus at Van Nuys Flyaway, I notice this old man standing with roses and chocolates in his hand waiting for his wife to come from the airport.
'This shows the epitome of love. My heart melted and it showed me that this kind of love exists. Hopefully these two lovely people who are in the video can see this.'
For their part, Bernie and Carol are a bit bewildered and shocked by their internet fame. Bernie explained: 'We started so small and got so big in such a hurry.'
Carol added with a laugh: 'When his daughter told me it went viral, I go, "What’s viral?"'
Since the clip was posted, numerous people have taken to both YouTube and Facebook to comment on the heart-warming gesture.
YouTube user Jay Callaghan wrote: 'The older you get the more you realize that it isn't what you have in your life that matters it's who you have.'
Another person, posting under the YouTube username NMRO2000 LV, added: 'No matter how old are you true love lasts forever. Nicest video ever.'
While Facebook user Jo Headon said: 'What a true gentleman, not many of them left.'
